With a very interesting timing, To The Lake is a Russian show about a deadly epidemic that released on Netflix in late 2020. I’m not sure if this unfortunate coincidence kept some people away from it, but I’m glad I wasn’t put off.
The month (and the year) is almost over, so I though I would share what I watched during December. Hopefully I’ll remember to do that every month :)
As I mentioned in the last post, this year I’ve watched some great foreign language movies and TV shows. For this series of posts I’m going to start with the most recent that I finished: Paranormal.
I’ve always liked to consume different types of content. Not only different medias and genres, but also different origins. Recently I have been watching some great non-English (and non-Asian) TV shows and movies. Because of that, I decided to start a series of posts sharing some great recommendations, most of those from Europe.
So, after a post on what I’m reading, let’s talk a bit about TV!
When I started this show, the first 2 season were out already. AND I BINGED BOTH SO QUICKLY. It became of of those series I absolutely love (almost) everything about: the actors, story, setting, music, costumes, comedy. I even bought the first 2 seasons' OSTs in vinyl.
For some reason though, I started season 3 when it was released, but didn’t get to finish it at that time. And then I went to Brazil, and was locked there for 5 months… But coming back home decided to finally watch the second half of the season, and I loved it!!
This weekend I started two new Korean dramas: The King: Eternal Monarch and Strangers From Hell. Let’s see my first impressions on the first show.
As I mentioned in the last post, my parents and I decided to watch more movies before starting a new series. Here are the movies I’ve watched with them, along with a couple series we watched.
My parents and I decided to watch some movies, instead of starting a new TV show, so we can enjoy the last few days of Telecine’s free trial. Check below what we watched this weekend!
