This is an anime/manga that I always wanted to check, but never got to. Now that there’s a remake, I just HAD to watch it. You know, for science.

Went in almost blind - I mean, I knew Lum is an alien - but that was it.

I had A LOT of fun with this. Love this violent comedy, and Lum and Ataru are so fun together -and also by themselves. I’m already excited for the next episode, and I’m glad to know it’s a 2-cour anime with a 2nd 2-cour season already confirmed. Nice!

Seems like the OP was created by the same person who did Chainsaw Man OP, Jujutsu Kaisen OP 1&2, Ousama Ranking OP2 - Shingo Yamashita. And yeah, it’s a banger!

Another cool thing about it is this:

In the first Urusei Yatsura anime, Ataru Moroboshi was played by Toshio Furukawa.

I don't think many people understand how important Urusei Yatsura is tbh tbh. It was pretty huge

The old anime had 195 episodes, 6 movies (4 in the theaters), 12 OVAs. Manga had 366 chapters, 34 vol. 6 videogames. Influenced many series that influenced your favorites.
